Elderly Sunnyvale Man Killed By Hit & Run Driver

SUNNYVALE (CBS SF) - A 72-year-old man was killed after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Sunnyvale on Thursday morning, according to the city's public safety department.

Public safety officers and fire personnel found the victim, later identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as Benjamin Lin, at about 6:50 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Sequoia Drive and Reed Avenue.

The driver from the vehicle that had struck Lin fled the scene and has not been found.

Lin, a Sunnyvale resident, was taken to Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
