49ers, SFPD Warn Fans About Counterfeit Playoff Tickets For Big Game

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- As Bay Area football fans gear up for Saturday's big NFL divisional playoff game hosted at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, 49ers officials working with San Francisco police are reminding fans about possible counterfeit tickets.

Football fans seeking tickets for Saturday's game—scheduled for 1:35 p.m. with the San Francisco 49ers taking on the New Orleans Saints—should look out for counterfeit tickets that authorities believe are circulating through the ticket market.

Football officials said some counterfeit tickets have already been confiscated.

To ensure fans are carrying authentic tickets authorities said to only buy tickets through reputable vendors such as the NFL Ticket Exchange managed by Ticketmaster.

Fans are urged to know their ticket source before purchasing from second-hand or non-official sources.

Officials warned that because the game was sold out counterfeit tickets could not be replaced.
