Cal Women Beat Washington State 60-55
BERKELEY (CBS/AP) -- Layshia Clarendon scored 13 of her 15 points in the second half as California beat Washington State 60-55 on Sunday for its sixth straight win.
Gennifer Brandon had 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Talia Caldwell had 12 points for Cal (15-5, 5-2), the second-place team in the Pac-12. The Golden Bears face the conference leader, No. 4 Stanford, on Saturday.
Carly Noyes and Sage Romberg scored 10 points apiece for the Cougars (9-10, 3-4), who have lost four in a row.
