Louisiana Tech Dominates San Jose State

RUSTON, La. (CBS / AP) -- Romario Souza scored 19 points as Louisiana Tech beat up on San Jose State 75-49 on Thursday night, extending the Bulldogs' winning streak to three games.

Raheem Appleby added 17 points and Trevor Gaskins had 15 for Louisiana Tech (14-14, 4-7 Western Athletic Conference), which has swept the regular-seasons series against the Spartans after also beating them on Jan. 21.

San Jose State scored the first bucket of the game, but wouldn't lead again after that as Louisiana Tech took a 32-22 lead into the locker room. The Bulldogs extended that advantage to 32 points with just over seven minutes to play and outscored the Spartans 43-27 in the second half to seal it.

Louisiana Tech outrebounded San Jose State 37-29 and forced the Spartans into 18 turnovers.

Wil Carter, the lone player in double figures for the Spartans (9-18, 1-10), had 17 points.
