Denver-To-SFO Flight Delayed Over Bomb Scare

DENVER (CBS SF) – A plane bound for San Francisco International Airport from Denver was searched Thursday morning after a bomb threat.

United Airlines Flight 869 had been scheduled to depart from Denver International Airport at 8:10 a.m. Transportation Security Administration officials said there was a "non-specific telephone threat" at 7:30 a.m. about the plane

Just before 10 a.m. officials at DIA and with the TSA said passengers had not yet boarded the plane when the threat came in. Earlier TSA officials told news agencies that passengers evacuated the plane.

After the threat the plane was moved to a non-disclosed location. DIA officials said the plane was swept by K-9 units and safety agents and no threat was discovered.

Passengers were directed to board a different plane and the flight apparently wound up leaving only an hour or two after its original departure time.
