1 Killed, 1 Hurt In Bar Shooting Near Travis Air Force Base

FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) -- A bar fight in Fairfield late Wednesday turned into a shooting that left one man dead and another seriously injured, police said.

Police responded to a large fight outside a bar in the 600 block of Parker Road at around 8:45 p.m. and while they were on their way the call was upgraded to shots fired.

Police found two shooting victims with gunshot wounds to the head, a 31-year-old Fairfield man and a 29-year-old Suisun City man.

The 31-year-old was taken to a local hospital and is in serious but stable condition. The 29-year-old was pronounced dead outside the bar.

Police said that the fight had started between two groups of men inside the bar and had moved into the street. Police have not determined why the fight started or what the relationship between the men is.

Detectives have been working overnight to identify suspects in the shooting.

Anyone with information about the shooting has been asked to call Fairfield police at (707) 428-7600.
