Sandoval Headed For Surgery, DL With Broken Wrist

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS Sports) - Rough news for the Giants: Third baseman Pablo Sandoval has fractured the hamate bone in his left wrist, the team announced Thursday. He will undergo surgery Friday, Giants manager Bruce Bochy told the Giants beat writers. Sandoval is expected to miss four to six weeks.

Sandoval left the game Wednesday night after grounding out in the sixth inning. He has had wrist issues before, as surgery on his right wrist cost him 41 games last season.
