Highway 12 At Jameson Canyon Closed For Overnight Road Work

NAPA (CBS SF) -- Caltrans is closing state Highway 12 through Jameson Canyon in Solano and Napa counties overnight this week to relocate underground utilities in advance of widening the highway.

The road will be closed between state Highway 29 in Napa County and Red Top Road in Solano County between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. starting today and ending Saturday.

Motorists on eastbound Highway 12 are advised to use southbound Highway 29 to eastbound state Highway 37 to eastbound Interstate Highway 80 as a detour.

Westbound Highway 12 motorists should use westbound Highway 80 to westbound Highway 37 to northbound Highway 29.

Local access is available for Jameson Canyon residents and emergency vehicles only.

The California Highway Patrol will help direct motorists who are advised to allow extra travel time. Caltrans also will install changeable message signs.
