The robbery was reported at 9:31 p.m. near the intersection of Great Highway and Noriega Street.

The 34-year-old victim was walking home when he lost consciousness, then awoke to discover that his wallet and iPod were missing, and that a Taser was on the ground next to him, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital because of a complaint of pain to his abdomen, but is expected to survive, police said.

No arrests had been made and no suspect information was available in connection with the robbery as of Tuesday morning. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
