SAN JOSE (CBS SF) — A motorcyclist died after colliding with an SUV Monday evening in San Jose, police said.
Police were continuing to investigate the collision, which occurred in the area of Almaden Expressway and Vine Street around 6:05 p.m.
The motorcyclist, a man whose name has not yet been released, was found in the street when police responded to the scene. He was pronounced dead at about 6:30 p.m.
The woman driving the SUV, a white GMC Yukon, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
Investigators do not believe the driver of the SUV was intoxicated, and it has not been determined if the motorcyclist was under the influence, according to police.
The cause of the collision remained under investigation.
