CHP Motorcycle Hits, Kills, Hayward Woman
OAKLAND (CBS / AP) -- A 43-year-old Hayward has died after getting hit by a California Highway Patrol motorcycle.
CHP officials say the woman was hit as she ran across a street in West Oakland around 10 p.m. Friday night.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. The officer, who was thrown from his motorcycle, was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The name of the woman has not been released.
Oakland police and the CHP are investigating.
