Antioch Teen Hurt In Shooting

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- A 19-year-old man was injured and a Tri Delta Transit bus was struck in a shooting in Antioch on Tuesday evening, police said Wednesday.

Officers initially responded at 7:44 p.m. to reports of a large fight in the 700 block of L Street, then a report of shots being fired and someone being down, according to police.

Arriving officers found the victim lying in the street with several gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

The Tri Delta Transit bus was traveling north on L Street without any passengers on board when it was struck, according to police.

Investigators did not know who shot the victim or what led to the shooting. Anyone with information about the case was encouraged to call the Police Department's investigations bureau at (925) 779-6939 or send a tip by text message to 274637 with the keyword Antioch.
