SAN JOSE (CBS News) - P!nk unveiled "The Truth About Love" on Tuesday, her sixth studio album and first full-length release since 2008's "Funhouse." Hot on the heels of the album release, P!nk also announced the dates for her upcoming North American tour to promote the new album.

The 33-year-old Grammy Award-winner returns with a 13-track set, full of pop-rock anthems, including "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)," which she performed at the recent MTV Video Music Awards. The album features guest appearances by singer Lily Rose Cooper (formerly Lily Allen), rapper Eminem and fun.'s Nate Ruess.

Since her last release, P!nk has become a mom and has cemented her marriage to motocross racer Carey Hart.

"I write from my life, my experience. I'm selfish that way," P!nk told USA Today. "I'm very much in the trenches, and I don't live in the lap of luxury. I come from a working-class military family. We watch the news and read the paper and vote, so there's always something to be upset about. I always have a certain amount of angst in my back pocket."

When asked if she's "learned the truth about love," P!nk said, "I know more about what I don't want than what I do. I don't want to live in fear. I don't want to stop fighting. I don't want to retreat to a silent corner."

P!nk, meanwhile, tweeted Monday prior to the album's release:

As for critics' reviews, Entertainment Weekly gave "The Truth About Love" an A, noting, "Truth may switch up its stylistic forms, but P!nk's uniquely torqued confessionals permeate every song; it's honesty you can dance to."

The Washington Post gave it 2.5 out 4 stars, explaining, "Formula production and hack songwriting intrude, but P!nk's personality keeps pushing against the smooth surfaces. Call it a draw - it's not the left-field pop classic she seems capable of one day creating, but it also contains a handful of tracks that laser in on exactly what she does best."

P!nk will soon take her new songs on tour. The outing kicks off in February 2013 in Phoenix, Arizona and will quickly makes it's way to the HP Pavilion in San Jose on February 18.
