NAPA (CBS SF)  —  Investigators have determined a person of interest in the Friday  afternoon homicide of a 51-year-old man in Napa, according to Napa police.

Paramedics were called to a medical emergency in the 100 block of  Almond Avenue at 4:13 p.m. When paramedics arrived on scene the victim,  identified as Robin Ward, was deceased and the circumstances surrounding his  death were deemed unusual, police said.

Napa police investigators determined the death was a homicide. The  Napa County Major Crimes Task Force took over the investigation and  investigators are conducting interviews of potential witnesses, police said.

The witness interviews have resulted in a person of interest, who  may be responsible for Ward’s death, police said.

Police have not released the cause of Ward’s death nor the person  of interest identified in the case.
