SF Police Find Man Shot Dead Inside Car

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Police are investigating the murder of a man in his 30s who was found shot to death in San Francisco’s SoMa district late Saturday night, a San Francisco police spokesman said Sunday morning.

Police responded just after 11 p.m. to a welfare check on Mission and 5th streets, where arriving officers located a man inside a car suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body, Officer Albie Esparza said.

Emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.

No suspect information was available as of 2:30 a.m.
