Four People Hurt In Multiple Oakland Shootings
OAKLAND (CBS 5) -- At least four people have been hospitalized after a series of shootings near Oakland's Lake Merritt on Tuesday night, according to authorities.
Oakland Police responded to reports of a 50-year-old man being shot outside a liquor store on the 300 block of East 18th Street around 10:20 p.m. When police arrived, witnesses said there were more victims a few blocks away. Officers found three additional victims near East 18th Street and 6th Avenue.
Neighbors told CBS 5 at least a dozen shots were fired.
Authorities said all four victims were transported to Highland Hospital.
As of early Wednesday morning, police have not released information regarding suspects or a motive in the shootings.
