Senator Feinstein's Daughter Retiring From Judgeship; Open To Running For Office

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS/AP) -- Sen. Dianne Feinstein's daughter is retiring after 12 years as a California judge.

Katherine Feinstein said that she's open to running for public office.

But the 55-year-old San Francisco Superior Court presiding judge downplayed the possibility of running for her mother's Senate seat if the state's senior senator decides not to run in 2018.

The judge says her mother shows no signs of slowing down.

Her last day on the bench will be Dec. 31.
