OAKLAND (CBS SF) — At least two separate shootings were reported in East Oakland Thursday afternoon, including one where a man was hit by gunfire, Oakland police said.
The first was reported at 12:05 p.m. when a man arrived at a hospital in stable condition who had been shot in the 10200 block of International Boulevard, police said.
He initially gave police an incorrect location of the shooting.
Two suspects, one with a firearm, got away at the scene of the shooting in a vehicle, police said.
About 2 miles west and about an hour later, a report of shots fired came in at 1:07 p.m. from the 7200 block of Hamilton Street.
A nearby house may have been struck by bullets, police said, however no victims or suspects were located.
