Man, Girl Hurt In Separate Shootings In Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A man and a girl were injured in two separate shootings in Oakland late Friday night, a police officer said.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of Franklin and 19th streets just after 10 p.m. Police located a victim, a juvenile female, who was taken to an area hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound, Officer J. Moore said.

She was last listed in stable condition.

No suspect information was available this morning in connection with that shooting.

Gunfire struck another victim about two hours later in the 1700 block of 13th Avenue, Moore said.

The officer said a male adult victim had been shot multiple times and was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Two suspects, one who was armed, were seen fleeing the area in a vehicle.

No arrests have been made.
