Oregon Teen Arrested After Posting About Drunk Driving On Facebook

ASTORIA, Oregon (CBS SF) -- An Oregon teenager who shared a little too much information on social media was arrested after admitting to driving drunk, and hitting two parked cars.

Jacob Cox-Brown was jailed after posting a message on Facebook, admitting he had been driving drunk, and apologizing for hitting someone's car, according to an article in the Oregon Live.

Police in the area had been investigating a hit-and-run after a car was sideswiped over New Year's Eve. Another car was also damaged in the incident.

Later in the day, police were alerted to Cox-Brown's message, which read: "Drivin drunk…classic ;) but to whoever's vehicle i hit i am sorry. :P."

Police found a damaged vehicle at Cox-Brown's Astoria home.

Cox-Brown was arrested, and taken to the county jail, and later released.
