Berkeley Woman, Boyfriend Missing Since December 23

BERKELEY (CBS/AP) -- Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding a Berkeley woman and her boyfriend who were last seen a few days before Christmas as they recycled scrap metal in rural Northern California.

Shasta County sheriff's officials say 52-year-old Camille Kober and her boyfriend, 54-year-old Eric James Eide, of Manton, were last seen Dec. 21 as they went to collect scrap metal in Manton, a tiny town about 40 miles southeast of Redding.

Authorities say Eide and Kober weren't seen or heard from again. Eide's truck was found by PG&E workers the next day, and sheriff's officials had the truck towed on Dec. 23.

On Christmas Eve, Eide's mother, reported the couple missing.

Shasta County sheriff's Sgt. Troy Clegg says search teams have scoured the area, but have found no sign of the missing couple.
