Man Found Shot Dead On Antioch Sidewalk

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) – A man was found shot to death on an Antioch sidewalk early Monday morning, police said Tuesday.

Police received a report of a possibly deceased person in the 4500 block of Delta Fair Boulevard at about 6:05 a.m. Monday.

Officers arrived and found the victim on the sidewalk next to a bicycle. He had been shot and appeared to have been there for several hours, police said.

A Contra Costa County deputy coroner Tuesday morning identified the man as 36-year-old Albert Calceta, of Pittsburg.

Detectives are investigating the case as a homicide, but no suspects have been identified.
