Baseball Fans To Pay More For Riding Ferry To AT&T Park

LARKSPUR (KCBS) – San Francisco Giants fans who take the Golden Gate Ferry to AT&T Park from Larkspur will be paying more for a ticket this upcoming season.

On Thursday, the Finance-Auditing Committee of the The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District approved adding a $2 service charge to each $9 one-way ferry ticket. They also elected to defer a $0.50 fare increase on the AT&T Park special event ferry fare until November.

The full board is expected to authorize the moves on Friday and Giants ferry tickets should be available for purchase online later this month.

"It's actually offering the customer more versatility," said Golden Gate Bridge District spokesperson Mary Currie.

The tickets will be sold online on the San Francisco Giants website with the tickets provided by tickets.com.

One possible issue that is still unresolved is parking at the Larkspur Ferry Terminal, which can be extremely limited on game days.

Golden Gate Bridge District officials said they don't really have a solution except to use an alternate lot at the Marin Airporter, but that costs an additional $4.
