Santa Rosa Police Investigate Beating Attack That Sent Man To Hospital

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- Police in Santa Rosa are investigating an altercation that sent a man to a hospital with serious injuries Saturday night.

Officers responded to a report of an assault victim in the area of West Ninth Street and Link Lane at about 7:05 p.m., police said.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from blunt trauma injuries, according to police.

The man was transported to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, police said.

A possible weapon used in the assault was found, police said.

Detectives are investing the assault. It is unknown whether the incident is gang related, police said.
