1 Injured In Early-Morning Benicia Shooting

BENICIA (CBS SF) -- Benicia police are investigating a shooting that took place in the city early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the first block of Riverhill Drive at about 12:45 a.m., according to Benicia police.

Arriving officers found a 25-year-old man who had been shot in the left thigh, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

Investigators found several bullet shell casings at the scene.

Information about a possible suspect was not immediately available, police said.
