1 Hurt In Menlo Park Drive-By Shooting

MENLO PARK (CBS SF) -- One person was injured in a drive-by shooting Saturday afternoon in Menlo Park, according to police.

Shots were reported on the 600 block of Pierce Road around 1 p.m., according to Sgt. Matthew Ortega.

The victim, a 19-year-old male, was shot while standing in front of his home and police located him inside when they arrived on the scene.

He had a single gunshot wound, and was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses told police the suspects were driving a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Nissan, north on Pierce Road when the shots were fired. Bullets also struck a parked car and a home, Ortega said.

The suspect vehicle was last seen turning east on to Berkeley Avenue.
