SAN FRANCISCO (CBS / AP) — Concession workers at the ballpark where the San Francisco Giants play are mulling over whether to go on strike during the baseball season.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that about 750 members of Local 2 who work the concession stands at AT&T Park will be voting on Saturday whether to authorize a strike citing they’ve been working without a contract for three years.

The union said that talks with Centerplate, Inc., a South Carolina-based concession company, have been bogged down over money issues and management’s refusal to guarantee a contract would be enforced even if the Giants replaced the concession company.

A spokesman for the concession company called the strike threat unfortunate and said the union workers are among the best paid in the industry.

The union and the concession company are scheduled to continue talking next week.
