Legendary Bay Area Talk-Show Host Gene Burns Dies At 72

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS) – Long-time Bay Area talk-show host Gene Burns has died.

Burns was best known in San Francisco for his political and social commentary talk show, "The Gene Burns Program."

Last year, Burns wrote on his blog that he was recovering from a stroke that resulted in a language disorder.

He was 72-years-old.
