Giants' Sandoval Out For At Least 'Next Few Days'

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS Sports) -- The San Francisco Giants are still deciding whether Pablo 'Panda' Sandoval needs a stint on the disabled list, but manager Bruce Bochy said on Monday that he'll at least be out "the next few days."

Sandoval had an MRI Sunday on his injured Left foot, which revealed a strain. Bochy also said the disabled list "is a possibility." He said of the injury that "we need to get this calmed down."

The injury is a re-aggravation of the injury Sandoval suffered in late May.

Sandoval aggravated his foot strain while running to first base in the fourth inning of Saturday's 10-5 win. He hit .289 with eight homers and 37 RBI in 57 games played before getting hurt again.

The Giants have an off-day Monday before Tuesday's series opener against Pittsburgh.
