Safety Dahl Says 49ers Tipped Plays Last Year

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS Sports) -- Craig Dahl, now with the San Francisco 49ers, said the team was tipping plays last season.

The 49ers signed Dahl, a former St. Louis Rams safety, to help replace Dashon Goldson after they lost him to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency.

Dahl was part of a Rams team that gave the 49ers all they could handle last season.

Dahl provided some answers Wednesday.

"We had a few tips off of film that we were able to differentiate between run and pass early," Dahl said. "So that kind of gave us an added benefit on defense.
