Fire Crews Quickly Douse Kitchen Fire In East Oakland Apartment
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Firefighters quickly knocked down a kitchen fire at an apartment building in East Oakland Sunday morning, a fire dispatcher said.
Crews responded to a report of a fire at a multi-story apartment building at 2692 Havenscourt Blvd. just before 2:30 a.m., the dispatcher said.
The one-alarm fire, which was in a kitchen in one of the apartments, was deemed under control at 2:46 a.m., according to the dispatcher.
The cause is unknown, he said.
No injuries were reported.
