SAN FRANCISCO (CBS Sports) – The San Francisco Giants have agreed to a $1,866,500 million deal with their No. 1 pick, Christian Arroyo, a high school shortstop from Florida, sources said Tuesday. Arroyo was the 25th pick overall, so he signed for slot value.

Arroyo graduated from Hernando High School in Brooksville, Fla. (outside Tampa) with a grade-point average of 4.4.

Arroyo hit .524 with 11 home runs in 105 at-bats during his senior season.
