1 Hurt In SF Hayes Valley Shooting

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man was critically injured in a shooting in San Francisco's Hayes Valley neighborhood on Wednesday evening, police said Friday.

The shooting was reported at 5:07 p.m. Wednesday near Hayes and Webster streets.

A suspect walked by the 31-year-old victim and started shooting at him, striking him multiple times in the torso, according to police.

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries that are considered life-threatening, police said.

The male suspect fled on foot and had not been found as of Friday morning, according to police.
