Police Activity Delays BART Trains In SF's Embarcadero Station

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Bay Area Rapid Transit riders passing through San Francisco were experiencing 15- to 20-minute delays Wednesday morning because of police activity at the Embarcadero station, a BART spokeswoman said.

BART police officers were on the platform of the station and the delays were still in effect as of 8:40 a.m., BART spokeswoman Luna Salaver said.

The police activity began around 8:30 a.m., she said.

No further information was immediately available.
