Fremont Police Seek Hit-And-Run Driver Who Critically Injured A Cyclist

FREMONT (KCBS) -- Police were looking for the driver of a car who hit and critically injured a bicyclist in Fremont Thursday morning.

Police say a mid-90s dark Toyota Camry hit a 57-year-old man at Fremont and Old Warm Springs Boulevards about 5:40 a.m.

Witnesses told authorities the car sped off in the direction of Interstate 880.

One person at the scene drove off to catch the suspected vehicle but was unable to track him or her down.

The cyclist was taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and is in critical condition.

Police believed the Toyota Camry involved in the incident may have front-end damage on the passenger side.
