Fire From Tailgater's Grill Destroys 3 Vehicles At Oakland Coliseum

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Three vehicles were destroyed at the O.co Coliseum Saturday night and several others damaged when a vehicle that parked near a hot grill from a tailgate party caught fire, according to an Oakland fire official.

The fire was reported around 7:12 p.m., according to Battalion Chief Darin White.

A Jeep that had parked directly over or adjacent to a hot Weber grill in Lot A on the 66th Avenue side of the coliseum caught fire, and the fire spread to the vehicles on either side, White said.

All three vehicles were destroyed, and two or three others sustained some damage from the radiant heat, White said.

No injuries were reported.
