OAKLAND (CBS SF) — Police in Oakland are investigating a shooting that left one person dead Saturday night, an officer said Sunday.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 4800 block of Daisy Street at about 10:50 p.m., Officer Kevin McDonald said.

When officers arrived, they found a person suffering from at least one gunshot wound, McDonald said.

The victim – whose age and gender has not yet been released – was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead there, he said.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information was immediately available.
