Small Earthquake Rattles Pleasant Hill

PLEASANT HILL - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.9 was recorded in Pleasant Hill Tuesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor, which occurred at 2:52 p.m., was centered 2 miles north of Walnut Creek and had a depth of 7.1 miles, according to the USGS.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
