Not All California Obamacare Call Center Employees Eligible For Insurance

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- The Affordable Health Care Act can be confusing, so California set up call centers to explain to educate the public on how it works.  But, not all of those call center workers are eligible for health insurance themselves.

As a part time employee, call center customer service agent Michael Gallego knows that he will need coverage, but since his job hasn't provided it.

"I was denied by three of the major carriers in California and I was not able to get insurance at all."

So, along with millions of uninsured Californians, Gallego will have to turn to Obamacare.

"I'm actually a great candidate," he said.
