A's Playoffs, Pink Concert To Crowd Thursday Night Commute

OAKLAND (Alice Radio) - Two huge events will likely cause serious traffic congestion in the East Bay on Thursday night. Oakland will be hosting both a sold out Pink concert and the fifth and deciding ALDS game in the Oakland A's and Detroit Tigers series.

Between the two events there will be approximately 65,000 fans heading to the Oakland Coliseum complex. It is strongly suggested that patrons take public transportation to both events or arrive early for parking at the venues. Try taking BART getting off at the Coliseum Station. Both venues are just across the pedestrian bridge.

Parking will be extremely limited at the shared Oracle Arena and O.co Coliseum lot. An estimated 48,000 fans will attend the Oakland Athletics Game 5 at 5:07 PM and 15,000 fans will attend Pink's "The Truth About Love" Tour at Oracle Arena at 7:30 PM.

Parking for both events is $35 per car. Lots will open at 12:00 for both events and the Stadium will officially open to baseball guests at 3:00 PM. Oracle Arena will open to guests coming for the Pink concert at 6:30 PM. People attending the events should allow themselves extra time to get to their seats.
