LAFAYETTE (CBS SF) — All lanes of eastbound state Highway 24 in Lafayette have reopened after a crash blocked the roadway for roughly an hour Sunday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported at about 5:35 a.m. on eastbound Highway 24, just west of the Pleasant Hill Road exit, and involved six cars, Officer James Evans said.

A Sig-alert was issued at 6:14 a.m.

Major injuries have been reported, but Evans said he was unsure how many people have been hurt in the crash.
