SAN JOSE (CBS/AP) — Rashad Muhammad and Dylan Alexander each scored 17 points as San Jose State rolled to an 81-59 win over Cal State Fullerton on Saturday.
San Jose State (2-4) opened the contest on a 22-4 run, including 14 straight points from Muhammad, on its way to a 49-19 lead at halftime. The Spartans hit 9 of 19 3-pointers in the first half, led by Devante Wilson with four and Muhammad with three.
Wilson had 16 points in the game, including 13 in the high-scoring first half. Chris Cunningham added 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for San Jose State.
Muhammad did all of his scoring in the first half while all of Alexander’s points came in the second half.
The Spartans only turned the ball over five times, compared with 13 for Cal State Fullerton (2-3).
Michael Williams led the Titans with 12 points and Josh Gentry added 10.
