Shot Fired Into Home In San Francisco's Mission District

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A gunshot was fired at a home in the San Francisco's Mission District early Sunday morning, a police spokesman said.

Officers responded to a call from a resident near Shotwell and 15th streets who said at least one gunshot was fired into a home at around 4 a.m., San Francisco police Officer Albie Esparza said.

The police department's Shotspotter gunshot detection system indicated gunfire in the area at about the same time, Esparza said.

No one was injured, and no arrests were made, he said.

The case remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.
