1 Killed, 1 Hurt In Rollover Crash In Half Moon Bay
HALF MOON BAY (CBS SF) -- A man was killed and another person was wounded during a rollover collision on state Highway 1 in Half Moon Bay Tuesday morning, according to sheriff's deputies.
The crash of a white 1998 Nissan four-door sedan was reported at about 12:40 a.m. on state Highway 1 near Spindrift Way, according to San Mateo County Sheriff's Deputy Rebecca Rosenblatt.
A man was ejected from the car and pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash, according to Rosenblatt.
A second occupant of the vehicle suffered injuries and was transported to a hospital via ambulance, Rosenblatt said.
The roadway reopened at about 4:30 a.m., according to Rosenblatt.
The identity of the deceased victim has not been released pending notification of his next of kin.
The cause of the collision remained under investigation Tuesday morning, according to the Rosenblatt.
