3 Hurt In Separate Shootings In Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Police are asking for the public's assistance in gathering information on suspects wanted in connection with three separate shootings in Oakland on Friday.

The first injury shooting was reported on Friday at 1:56 p.m. in the 3200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way, about a block from Grove Shafter Park, police said.

Emergency crews responded to the scene to find a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound, police said.

He was transported to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening and is in stable condition, according to police.

Police have not identified a suspect in connection with the shooting.

At about 5:50 p.m., police received a report of an injury shooting in which a man had been shot in the 2700 block of 98th Ave. He suffered at least one gunshot wound and is in stable condition, police said.

According to officers, multiple suspects are wanted in connection with this shooting. The suspects exited the vehicle, shot the victim and then fled the scene in a vehicle, police said.

Officers responded to the scene of a third injury shooting in the area of 55th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way at about 9 p.m., police said.

According to officers, a man had been shot and was driven to a hospital by the time officers arrived at the scene.

The man suffered injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.

No suspect information has been released and no suspects are in custody, according to police.
