ATHERTON (CBS SF) — Residents were being advised to shelter in place near a reported gas leak in Atherton Friday morning, police said.

The gas leak was reported at 11:19 a.m. on Kilroy Way, a small residential cul-de-sac near Alameda De Las Pulgas and Polhemus Avenue, Atherton police Sgt. Brad Mills said.

Residents in the area are being advised to shelter in place. One PG&E truck was already on scene and a repair crew was on the way as of shortly before noon, Mills said.
