SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – John Madden likes the Denver Broncos in Sunday’s Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks.

“I think that the Peyton Manning factor trumps everything,” Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew. “I know Denver (is the) number one offense and Seattle (is the) number one defense. But Seattle doesn’t have a Peyton Manning on their defense, and so I think that’s the thing that wins.”

The secret to Manning’s success?

“He’s tough to defend because he can throw the ball quickly. He uses multiple receivers and he likes to throw the ball kind of in the middle between the numbers… I think Peyton Manning is going to be too much.”

Madden said weather could be an equalizer if the wind picks up during the game.

“Every quarterback that’s ever played historically has had trouble throwing on a windy day.” (6:45)
