Watch Bruce Springsteen Cover Lorde's 'Royals'

(RADIO.COM) - At a stop in New Zealand on his recent tour, Bruce Springsteen decided to pay tribute to the country's most famous export, Lorde. All caught on YouTube and going viral.

On Saturday, Springsteen took the stage by himself in Lorde's hometown of Auckland, New Zealand, with his acoustic guitar and harmonica to play "Royals." He managed to give the GRAMMY-award winning track a folk makeover, using the guitar like a drum to keep the beat.

According to MTV, the Boss didn't just play "Royals," he opened his second-ever gig in New Zealand with his cover. He even changed up the lyrics a bit, proclaiming himself the "King Bee" and letting the crowd know, "Long ago I was the next big thing/ Now I'm in love with being king." Lorde may be Queen Bee, but Bruce will always be The Boss.
