Twitter Celebrates 8th Birthday By Letting Users Find 1st Tweets

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Twitter celebrated its 8th birthday Friday by giving users a chance to check out their first tweets.

Twitter set up the First Tweet site to let users go back to the beginning and see the first message shared on their account.

KPIX 5’s first tweet from October, 2008 was during the digital TV transition.

The San Francisco-based short-messaging service went public last November, raising around $30 Billion in its initial public offering.
