Body Found On Mount Tam Is Missing Hiker Magdalena Glinkowski

MILL VALLEY (KCBS) -- Authorities in Marin say a body found Saturday morning on Mount Tamalpais is that of a woman who disappeared two weeks ago.

Sheriff's spokesman Lieutenant Doug Pittman said cadaver dogs pointed searchers to an area about a mile from where Magdalena Glinkowski was last seen.

Now authorities are working to determine the cause of Glinkowski's death.

The 33-year-old Menlo Park software developer disappeared on March 30th sometime after she parked a rental car in the 'Bootjack'parking lot near the Pantoll Campground.

She had told friends she was going out on a day hike but never came back.
